Tuesday, June 26, 7pm. Waste Management Community Meeting, McMinnville Senior Center. Waste Management will address wetland issues. Tons and tons of dirt have been removed from the sensitive lowland areas between the dump and the river. This is a huge concern. These actions could effect river quality and flooding problems for generations to come. Come early for pizza and conversation.
We hope to have another big turn out. Your presence month after month is making a difference. The dump is not open now at unreasonably early or late hours thanks to your feedback, and their concern about the odor issues has finally prompted them to install a Community Comment Line--855-888-6800 one year after they first said they would do so. We continue to encourage folks to comment on odors. Please call the phone number listed above AND please email Gary Andes---the Odor Guy at DeQ every time you notice bad smells: andes.gary@deq.state.or.us.
