Become a Neighborhood Leader

Now, more than ever, we need better conversations about politics. The Neighborhood Leader Program offers neighbors the chance to talk to each other, to inform each other, and to encourage each other to vote.

Neighborhood Leader volunteers walk their neighborhoods before elections, reaching out to other registered Dems about the candidates, issues and ballot measures that support our shared Democratic values. The truth is, nothing empowers Democratic voters to turn out quite like a face-to-face chat with a fellow Dem who also has the best interest of our community at heart.

Here’s how it works:

  1. We will give you a list of about 35 of your neighbors who are registered as Democrats. This list is called a “walk sheet”.
  2. When crucial issues and candidates are up for a vote, you’ll be given important information to communicate with your fellow Democrats.
  3. When you’re done reaching out to your neighbors, we will ask you to return your “walk sheet” to us (or you can submit it online).
